Peugeot Automotive, 2016-2017

Peugeot approached iota at the Maison Objet Exhibition 2016. They were searching for bespoke textile possibilities for the new Peugeot autonomous car, which was to be revealed during the 2017 Geneva motor show.

As they were designing their most technologic futuristic car, they were seeking for a handprint, a crafted bespoke textile work for the carpets.  iota’s design is based on a manual, traditional technique, but brands agreed it just might be the future.

iota developed a unique yarn, durable and suitable for the company’s needs as well as its own, as a handwork producer. This yarn portrayed our abilities in color and structure and has been part of our collection of textiles ever since.
