NEW WALL FLOWER COLLECTION
The "Wallflower" collection was born from a desire to observe the classical-historical structure of the rug, deconstruct it, and reassemble it anew. Traditional rugs have evolved over centuries into a fixed structure composed of a central field and a border—a division that echoes artistic and architectural traditions, distinguishing between the interior and the margins, the focus and the perimeter.
In this collection, we offer a modern interpretation of this structure by joining five crocheted surfaces. This division is intentional, referencing knitting directions and proportions from classical design. The inspiration is drawn from ancient Persian gardens, where spaces were divided into symmetrical zones by paths or water channels, transforming the rug into a kind of "garden plan" spread across the floor.

This division defines specific zones within the rug, thereby engaging in a dialogue with the surrounding space and guiding its arrangement. From one of the junctions between the surfaces, a knitted flower emerges—functioning as a contemporary interpretation of the traditional tassel or fringe. The flower grows from the seams, like a natural element finding its way through a crack in the pavement. Its presence highlights the tension between the rigorous order of the "garden" and the freedom of the craft of crochet.
