Mini iota 2025

SHOP

In the early days of iota, when our relationship with crochet was still just beginning, the connection between knitting and children felt too obvious — even a little clichéd. But since then, we’ve grown. Some of us have become parents, and we’ve deepened our skillfulness in crochet, and came to appreciate the quiet wisdom, beauty, and comfort in it. Along with the innocence, playfulness, and hope that children bring into the world, we were inspired us to create something especially for them.

The new collection draws inspiration from the Camino de Santiago — a centuries-old pilgrimage route stretching over 800 kilometers from France to Spain. It winds through monasteries, villages, and breathtaking landscapes, drawing people of all ages in search of a new beginning. Along the way, travelers collect stamps in a special passport — simple marks of their journey, like scout badges or patches on a backpack.

This spirit of discovery and storytelling is woven into our collection: six soft, playful beanbags and pillows designed just for children. With a little imagination, they transform into backpacks or suitcases ready for adventure. Most include pockets — perfect for hiding a small treasure or a favorite book — and are decorated with hand-crochet “stamps” that capture moments in time: a mountain peak, a horse in a field, a swan gliding through the sea, or a dove carrying an olive branch. Each piece also features a flower stamp — a tiny keepsake from the road, or maybe a seal on a letter to someone special.

Like travel bags, these pieces are made from durable cotton, complete with zippers and handles. But unlike traditional luggage, they are light, colorful, and cozy — perfect for a child’s room, a play area, or a quiet corner of the living room. They’re washable, with refillable inner linings, made to last through years of play and daydreaming. After a long journey — real or imagined — there’s nothing better than stretching out on a soft beanbag, resting your head on a pillow (that’s also a bag), and reading a hidden book together, found tucked in the back pocket.
